My name is Trish and i just bought an Android phone yesterday... I was able to put music onto my phone but Just as I was using the headphones it would tell me that my phone is not in earphone mode... I bought a Samsung Galaxy Captivate...

can any assist me thx i'd appreciate it.

Welcome to Android Forums, Trish.

I don't know that I've ever seen a notification about earphone mode. I do know that the jack on the phone is pretty snug and sometimes doesn't get inserted completely. I'd also try the headset that came with the phone if you are using another headset, just in case it's wired differently.

You might want to touch base in Samsung Captivate - Android Forums to see if anyone else has had this problem. Good luck.
