(Hi, Dr. Nick!)
Sorry, I've been watching a lot of Simpsons lately. Joined a couple weeks ago, but haven't posted yet. I switched to T-Mobile from Verizon just a couple weeks ago, and it's one of the best decisions I've made in my life. No joke. It's going to save me hundreds of dollars a year, I have the freedom of not worrying about updating apps every freaking day using my data, and I can listen to Pandora at work instead of the radio and not have to hear that $#^%ing #$@% Flo from Progressive Insurance every 15 minutes.
Best of all, the apartment building I live in, by virtue of being the tallest for miles around, has all sorts of cell antennae on the roof. Supposedly, there was Verizon equipment, but my connection and speeds were mediocre and spotty at best. Not so with T-Mobile. I $#!+ you not, I'm getting 35-40+Mb/s downloads.
The phone I went with is the Samsung Galaxy Light, which I immediately rooted thanks to ShabbyPenguin. $120 used on eBay (but in perfect condition), it's the best damn phone for the money you can find if you're on T-Mobile. Eventually I'll get a "real" phone, when the money I'm saving accumulates enough. Probably an LG G Pro 2 or Sony Z2.
