G'day everyone,

My name is Richard, I live in Perth Western Australia.

I've recently bought a Galaxy SII after many years of Iphone, initial thought's are I should have done this earlier as I really enjoy the flexibility of the android system, still getting to know this new system so that I can fully make use of what this has to offer, so I thought the best place to come to, to 'talk', to learn, to share would be here?

I'm fairly tech minded, when my mind decides it wants to be!!

It proves to be a running battle, I'd better apologise up-front if I ask some fairly dumb type questions?

I do know how to turn it on & off, so I won that particular battle!

Hey Richard, welcome to Android Forums. Congrats on the new phone! We have a number of S2 areas here because there are different S2 phones. You will want to click in on your particular S2/carrier to join the other users of your phone. They can answer all of your questions and likely have already if you just read up. Have fun and thanks for joining these forums. I hope they prove worthy of your time.

That would be my best guess Richard. I don't know how subtle the differences are. You will figure out if you read stuff that doesn't jive with your S2 :) I hope you enjoy the forum.
