Hi everyone
Despite starting in what was then called Data Processing 50 years ago, and more recently braving Ubuntu on my desktop, I'm pretty nervous around Android, because I just don't speak the language, and my would-be helpful grand-daughters are all Apple zealots.
I've just bought a STAR W-9208 phablet, (arrived this morning!), and the usb port seems to be set for charging only, so I'm going to need to root (well that's one bit of the language I've picked up) to get OTG. There's nothing helpful in the build that lets me mount usb storage, so I'm going to be rooting around here for clues / encouragement.
It's nice to be here, I'll probably start asking my very basic and obvious questions soon.
