Just signed up for this forum... and I am a newbe to android.

Don't like Blackberry, and windows got tired... Palm is not ready, but Android seems like it is cooking.

I have some questions I am hoping to get answered here like What is rooting, and should I be interested if I am not a developer? Also, when a application says it is for "G1", does that mean I can't use in on my new Sprint Hero (which I get this weekend :D)

Still trying yo find my way around on this forum, so not sure how you answer my questions, or where I'll find the answer when you do. So wish me luck as I work my way through this.

Welcome to the forum. I'll be picking up my Hero Friday morning.

Also new to Android and the forums I'm sure someone with a little more experience will answer your questions.
