Hi from new user

Hey everyone,
I just got an LG Optimus Slider, my first foray into smartphones and Android. I plan on rooting this phone, so I'll probably be having a few (hope not too many) questions.

I have no experience with rooting and really appreciate the guides and posts here. The last time I did anything to a phone was about 5 years ago to my Moto E815 with seem edits.
