Hi new here with SGSIII problem

hi all found this forum so i thought i would post up and see if i can get mty problem sorted, i am kinda new to android, have had/still have iphone 4s, but am hoping that if my problem is resolved i canrelinquish the iphone and stick with android.

as the title says i have a Samsung Galaxy S III, and i like it, much better than the S II, but the problem i have is that occasionally when some1 messages me i get the flashing blue light but no sound, its not all the time but enuff to be very annoying as i can miss important messages.... any idea what could be causing this, i thought it may have had something to do with using Zedge tones but i changed it to a built in tone and still did the same...

any help would b greatly appreciated..

Hi - I've just signed up here as I was having the same problem............found some helpful advice and seemed to get it sorted once I had my earphones in listening to some music. I got a notice for an e mail and another instant messaging service. I then connected my earphones and sent an online text........sure enough, I heard the notice through my earphones. I then tried without the earphones and weirdly the problem seems to have resolved itself. I can only conclude that it's some strange software conflict with some app I have downloaded.........mad Ted !
