Help Hi Resolution Pictures Bug

surfol

Lurker
I just discovered that:

1. Zooming in on a Hi-Res picture (the picture in particular was 1748 x 2480) in Gallery will cause the picture to be pixelated. Even a tiny little zoom will cause this, even though it's fine on a desktop. However after I decrease the picture resolution to 874 x 1240 , it works perfectly fine; no pixelation (or minimal) at all even after zooming in ! It's very weird; hi-res pictures should logically have less pixelation when zoomed in.
edit: This problem doesn't apply to hi res pictures taken from the camera. It only affects pictures from other sources.

2. I can't send this Hi-Res picture to my whatsapp or BBM friends. It says "the file is not a picture". but after decreasing the resolution, there was no problem at all.

Is this a bug on Note 3? Or is this standard on Galaxy/Android phones?
thanks

update:

The pic is actually a 300 dpi JPEG generated from a Photoshop file (it's a brochure). I changed the Photoshop file mode from CMYK to RGB, then saved it as a JPEG file and transferred it to my Note 3.

Now there's no problem in zooming in or sharing the file, no matter the resolution. So I guess CMYK is not that compatible with Note3/Mobile Phones ?
