just got a htc evo 4g. dont have a contract because some jerk stole my identity but luckely i had insurance. but now i have my phone back and not account because i had to close it to protect myself. hmmmmm dunno what to do

If the phone was reported as stolen to the carrier it's possible that you won't be able to get it re-registered with the carrier.
