Hi

[oldcelt]

I have quite a bit of programming experience having developed applications using C; C++; Delphi; VB; Assembler - all for the PC starting from the early days when the o/s was CP/M.

I'm actually retired but I thought I might try my hand at developing the odd app for Android devices so I've started with the downloads.

Look forward to some interesting exchanges.

Ken

Welcome aboard It looks daunting at first but not so bad when you get the hang of it And certainly shouldnt be too bad for a C++ programmer.

Feel free to drop in our app dev section here: Application Development - Android Forums

Thanks for the welcome. I did play around with the earliest incarnation of Java and, if I remember correctly, it had a lot of similarity to C.

Now to get the JDK, SDK and Eclipse installed.
