There could be many reasons why a wifi network might refuse a connection. I am not familiar with your specific phone model so I can only speak generally about Android. First make sure that you have Wifi enabled. Go to menu>settings>wireless & networks and make sure the box next to wifi is checked. Then go to wifi settings and see if your network is listed. If it is listed, tap on the name and connect, entering any security passphrase required. That should do it.
If you don't see it listed, it may be because your router isn't broadcasting the SSID which you'll need to reconfigure. Just to make sure it isn't your phone, try to connect to a public wifi network like at a library or bookstore.
