Hello and welcome to Android Forums! 
Usually to delete photos, you open the gallery app, then open the folder that contains the photo. If you long-press (touch and hold) the image you should see the option to delete it.
Alternately, if you connect your phone to your PC in storage mode, you can use your PC to delete the images. You photos most likely will be in a folder called CAMERA or DCIM.
