Hello and welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy your new phone. If you had your contacts backed up though google contacts they will auto populate once you establish your google account on your S2. They may well be backed up by Verizon.
To obtain a backup from big V you will need to log into your account there and find the link to your contacts. I hope this helps.
