I just want to be able to reclaim the memory on my Pantech Breakout that is currently being hogged by Verizon bloatware that I never use.

To remove the pre-installed bloatware on your phone, you're going to have to root it. For more information on that check out the "All Things Root" section in your phone's section.

Please note - Rooting isn't for everyone, so it's a good idea read up on it before just forging ahead.
