How do I find a hidden Android app that is retrieving message, media, and other data? I ran a 360 cleaner and booster and it found no malware on my device! What should I try now?

Is your device rooted? If it is it could be a spy app.... Some can be detected and others well lol.

Im not sure if it is rooted or not, how can I find out and what exactly does rooting it do?

"cleaners" "boosters" and other optimizers are at best useless, at worst, they are their own malware. Stay away form them. You can get root checker from the play store to see if you're rooted. Some off-brand and import phones do come rooted but those aren't common. If you let us know the brand phone and the version of android, we could help a little better.

Yes,I have come to terms after a long debate on the subject;that it is highly suggested not to use a cleaning or boosting apk,It was suggested by many members on this forum that clean and booster apk contain I think the term was snake oil?
But you say you had this problem before you downloaded the 360 cleaner apk?
So what is a short list of recent apk you installed before this if I may ask?
