Root Hidden menu

I have found that the only way to get into the hidden menu is to be using the touchwiz launcher . If u are using another launcher u. Can only get into wallpapers or gallery . :)
 
What is the Hidden Menu - what does it allow you to do or what options?

And how to you get to it?

Edit: is this the testing menu just to test all the hardware functions?
 
Many phones will have various hidden menus that allow you to test hardware, or view lifelong stats like call time or refurbish status
 
For instance with the Rush when plugging In the usb to computer. only options were camera or media transfer . If u go In time the hidden menu . iot settings . You can find the shortcut to add to ur homepage Wich then will allow you to add your phone as a mtp + modem.I will give more info on this shortly.
 
Alright I stand myself corrected you need to download the holo launcher then long press on the home screen select shortcuts then select activities. This is where you will be able to add different hidren settings or hidden apps to ur phone . Hope this helps .if. you need any more info will be happy to help. :) .this is where u can add launcher actions and shortcuts to ur phone . And so much more. Remember holo launcher needs to be downloaded first . As for touchwiz I will get back to you on that one I did find some pretty cool stuff . :)

What do you think of ADW Launcher EX? I'm looking for a replacement of Launcher Pro as it is no longer being developed.

I hope you successfully pull the system image.. nice to have a full recovery!

Awesome find.
I have the ADW launcher not the EX version and when i long press homescreen I do get other options for instance settings for like Desktop layout and style , Some pretty cool screen transitions and gestures , this is just to name a few . I do'nt get the added features that I do with the halo launcher. I must at some point invest in the ADW launcher ( EX) version.:)
 
I installed the apex launcher i did not instal pro, and am able to access all of hidden menu + more. This is bad ass. Apex launcher was designed for android 4.0 + this is why there are more features and functions than the Holo Launcher . The Holo launcher was designed to be cross compatible with with multiple versions of android.:D:) and also after intall of apex launcher a home icon will appear in status bar giving option to import desktop data . Ya like i said badass . Hoora :)
Now i will test research all and be back with more.
