Hide status bar in app?

Nexus S 4g. When i was running Cyanogen mod 7 (2.3.5) I was able to hide the status bar in app. CM7 included a version of ADW launcher I believe that allowed hiding status bar in app by holding down menu button. Now I am running Peter Alfonsos 2.3.7 ROM (wanted Google Wallet). I have ADW now, but I can only hide status bar on home screens. Anyone now a launcher app that allows this?
Thanks guys.
