Help High data usage - by Gallery & Drive Link

Last night Vodafone sent me a sms warning I'm near my data cap. So I checked the S3 for data usage and saw that Gallery has used more data than any other app (90MB). What could be causing that?

Is it me sending pictures from the gallery - but wouldn't that count on the email or message client?

Also Drive Link (Samsung in-car app, that doesn't do half what I'd need and has never been used for more than two minutes) used 36MB.

These two unexpected apps used a 1/4 of my monthly allowance. Any ideas how to stop this repeating, or should I delete Drive Link? And what about Gallery?

Is gallery not uploading pictures automatically to Drop box?

Gallery is probably automatically uploading pics to - google plus, Dropbox, Facebook, etc. My gallery usage is at 100mb for just a week. I think I had it set upload by default.

OK, I don't think the camera is auto-uploading to Facebook, Dropbox or Flickr. (I've checked and none of those apps have pics I've taken on the phone).

Also, my data usage warning is set to the correct dates but my phone tells me I've used 213MB in the month whereas Vodafone says it is over 500MB. Any ideas why the big (factor of x2) discrepancy? How can I check that? We are not talking about a huge amount of money for me alone, but if Vodafone are over counting my usage, maybe they are doing it to other people?

I know this doesn't help you much but I moved to 3 from VF because of the data constraints. With unlimited data on 3 I know don't have to worry. But I was in the same boat as you. Google Currents was the main culprit for me.
