Help High Screen Sensitivity

Is anyone else noticing that the screen is really sensitive? I swear sometimes my finger is an inch away from the screen and it thinks my finger's touching the screen. Are there any screen protectors that dull the sensitivity a little bit? I'm using the default one Verizon had.

I'm kind of afraid to use Amazon's AppStore what with OneClick being the only way to buy on there...

Yep has happened to me also, not sure if its static charge induced or what, one time I waved my hand over the screen and it changed.

After having a few android phones that had lackluster sensitivity, I kinda like it.
True, at least it's responsive. After some experimentation, it seems like the more oil/debris is on the phone, the higher the conductivity. So if it gets too quirky I'll just clean it carefully.

i was beginning to think that after all these years of trying, i've actually learned how to use the force :/

I also noticed this prior to applying a screen protector. Not an inch away but about 1/8" or 1/4" or so.

Anyways, It has not happened at all after applying a screen protector. I'm guessing the Verizon screen protector you have is thinner then mine.

I purchased the "Splash Masque Screen Protector Film Clear (Invisible)" from Amazon. They fit the entire screen including the bottom buttons. Good fit and smooth feel.

Actually, maybe that's what I need, because I noticed the bottom buttons in particular are highly sensitive. I keep getting kicked out to the Home screen and the first few times that happened I thought it was because something crashed. Might just be because I have a large thumb muscle that gets too close to the Home button.

I do notice it, when I hover it sometimes clicks something I didn't mean to...but I also enjoy the sensitivity on this phone, doesn't seem to cause me any trouble, I have just noticed it while showing someone else something and I was pointing to it, but it actually clicked on it.

nothing too major for me though.

So far the full screen protector I got works great; I got the SGP Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic. It's not nearly as hyper-sensitive now. I've been using it for a month with no issues.

Screen protectors do help quite a bit. I just have one of the Verizon ones on mine, and it cut down the sensitivity a bit. Also, yes, it's a capacitive touch screen, so it does indeed go by the electrical current running through your skin

My screen was also hypersensitive but just in the last couple of days it has become much less so, even hyposensitive. No changes other than the OTA update. Anyone else notice this?

I have the same problem. Installed a screen protector, didn't help. It's still so sensitive that my earrings pressing on the screen end my calls!!! There's gotta be a way to reduce the sensitivity! Took it back to Best Buy a couple of times to see if they could adjust: NO LUCK! Went to a local Verizon store: NO LUCK!
