Help High system data

Hi i recently bought a Lg G4 online it said at&t in the post and i guess it was a unlocked phone cause when i started it up i get a claro picture. My service and everything works great but i noticed i dont have any memory for apps. It says system data is 30gb how is that possible. What can i do to resolve this? I cant download any apps or take pics. It kinda defeats the purpose of the phone. Can i get an sd card and put files on it like apps? Any way i can install at&t rom.

Not sure what the deal is, but something is up indeed. Formatted and with the OS installed, you're left with about 21GB Space. Have you tried factory resetting?

Also, Claro is a Brazilian network (I think) so it sounds as though it's just a Claro phone which has been unlocked to work on any network.

That's only a couple of hundred KB, can you install that and see where the space is being used?

Hi i downloaded the app. If i do a factory resetting will i still be able to use att or will it go back to claro?

Interesting.

Can you install another app for me please? Again, it's just a few hundred KB's in size. This one will show how the space is partitioned up.

Factory resetting shouldn't lock it back to Claro.

If you head to Settings -> About Phone -> Hardware Info, what does your model number show? The international unlocked version is LG-H815.

Where did you buy it? The more I think about it, the more I think you should send it back. If it's been sold as International Unlocked and it's really a SIM unlocked Claro device, you've not really paid for what you've been sold.

Great, thanks.

I'd definitely ask for a refund. The Data partition (where you install apps etc) should be around 22GB, yours isn't even 2GB.

The 810PR model is listed here: http://www.lg.com/pa_en/support-mobile/lg-LGH810PR

If you click Product Overview, Technical Specifications, Memory, you'll see it is supposed to have 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage.

I seem to remember a thread on xda which claimed you could flash the system partition of an LG H810PR over the LG-810 (AT&T variant). I wonder if that's what's happened here and something has gone wrong?

Where did you get it?

Make a factory reset to see if you can take the available memory back.

As stated above, factory reset has nothing to do with carrier lock/unlock status of the phone, it just wipes the previous user's data.

You can factory from Settings -> Backup & Reset -> Factory Data Reset.

Now knowing what the issue is, I'm not entirely certain it will work tbh, but there's no harm in giving it a go.

I reset the phone it didnt unlock the lock but it didnt do anything with the high system data. Is there anyway to flash the phone so it deletes the claro interface and clears up memory? So im just running standard Android
