high system usage

[Android Question]

My battery life is horrible. I have had to charge every few hours. I did not download Facebook so that can't be it and I do not have many apps loaded. I did download one app for battery life and it says Android System is at 78%.
help please. This is very frustrating and not a good I am a little concerned if I was to need my phone for an emergency and the battery runs out so fast.

I suggest you download and run gsam battery monitor and wakelock detector so that you can find what is draining your battery. It would help to register on the forums and suscite to the s4 forum so that you can have a 2 way discussion about the problem (repost your question there)

Yeah, as Roger mentioned, it sounds like you've got a rogue app (or two?) that's keeping your phone awake when you don't want it to (i.e., sleeping / screen off).
