Hirox Kernel

Well, OK, this isn't really a brand new kernel, it's just adapted speedmod. but it's getting so quiet on here these days, it feels like the S2 is on it's final legs!! So, if anyone wants to try anything different, I heartily recommend this little gem, for battery life it can't beaten.

So in a nutshell it's speedmod kernel, fine tuned. All the tweaks you'd normally do yourself in Stweaks have been done for you. So it's a wash and go type kernel, you dont and cant change anything yourself. It comes in normal, medium, extreme, and intensive versions. Personally I've tried the medium and intensive over the past week, and found them both completely stable.

PROS wash and go, no messing around with settings. slick and stable. MASSIVELY impressive battery, even better than siyah

CONS no tweakability. no BLN.

Certainly worth a go if you're bored of unstable dori releases and got nothing new to flash!!

Thx mate :) i was wondering where is everyone... Dead? Or u all moved to xda?

Will give this kernel a go l8r tonight but currently I'm testing latest PhilZ kernel.

I found the SpeedMod JB kernel very good to be honest, so this one should be on a par at least.

But alas, like the previous geriatric poster has already intimated, BLN is a function sorely missed, so I shall be sticking with Siyah v6b5.

Geriatric!!! That's rich coming from a man whose missus complains about old age creeping on! ;)

come on boys, stop waggling your sticks at each other. grow old gracefully will ya

I intend to grow old, "disgracefully", and die in bed at the age of 96...

... shot by a jealous husband! ;)

How dare you suggest Kerri is getting old!
:p

Far from it old man! I'm merely suggesting that she only feels old age creeping on at night. ;)

She may be starting to get a little rough around the edges, but her face doesn't need ironing just yet.
:D

If Kerri should ever get to see this post by you... you're dead meat, I guess! :aetsch:
