Help History gone please help :(

I feel stupid for doing this. I tapped on clear history thinking I could chose to clear history in past 5 hours like I can in chrome but it just cleared the entire history WTF! It gave me no warning when I tapped on clear history. That's does not make any sense. I need urgent help please

Are you sure it was a glitch, and not just the way that browser works?

Edit: I just looked at the Touchwiz browser on my tablet (a browser I never use) and the only option is "clear browser history" - a tick box in the delete private data options. I see nothing there that would suggest that it will do anything other than delete the history, full stop. So I think that it did what it was supposed to do,

My profile picture is missing in op. Something sensitive to touch screen like my earphone wires could have touched on clear history and with no warning. That does not make any sense. I regret using Samsung Internet for android browser

As Hadron said Delete means delete no matter what browser you are using. But it is human nature to blame the button not the person pushing it. Maybe you should install a file manager with a recycling bin as I think you may do something similar sometime soon.
