Hitting STORES in Mid-August!

I wish I could buy the Note 6 right now. I'm still toughing it out with my Note 3. It's actually going strong, considering it's almost 3 years ancient now. I am just looking forward to the increased storage and speed of the Note 6, and the improved low light level camera. I can't wait!!!! :)

Ok, I guess I will have to... :p

My wife is still using a note 2. She boycotted the note 3 after she found out it wouldn't have the expandable memory option. She skipped the note 4 because she didn't like it, she skipped the note 5 because her note 2 was still running. However her note 2 has been touch and go recently. Last i uninstalled dozens of apps, wipe the cache several times. She had the phone going on four years. This year she has decided she will move on to the note 6

At this point I almost don't care WHAT it costs, I just want the Note 6 availability date to hurry up and get here. The battery in my Note 3 is has begun its precipitous decline in capacity. I don't want to have to buy a new one before I get my Note 6.

The Note 3 has/had expandable memory. Did you mean the Note 5? That is the only Note that did not have expandable memory (SD slot).

I really, really hope the July rumors are right. It pains me to see the deals going on for the unlocked Priv and am losing money the longer I'm on this device. Looking forward to jump out of it, as soon as the Note 6 is available.

Like Teegunn said below, the Note 3 did have expandable storage. It was actually a significant upgrade from the Note 2 (32gb internal storage, increased from 16gb on the Note 2...in the US, as well as a better screen to body ratio, increasing the phone from a 5.5 to 5.7 screen, while making the overall body smaller than the Note 2). I'm thinking you meant the Note 5. I had the Note 3 until February, when I made the switch to T-Mobile, but still enjoyed/loved using it.

I can live with August 15th, but was hoping for a July release. My N4 is fine, although recently I have noticed the screen has some color banding (lighter and darker) in areas when I read my kindle (I use the tan background). Not a big deal, but I guess it kind of bugs me as I read probably an hour on my N4 on the kindle app nightly. Also don't know if this is normal, but the display on my N4 will lighten and darken - quite a bit (no it's not on auto brightness) as if the phone is getting hot and it's throttling down the display - it doesn't seem as bright as it was when I first got it, and the whites aren't as white. I compared it to my N3, and at this point the N3 now has a brighter screen with whiter whites. That was definitely NOT the case when I got my N4 last august. Bottom line I think my N4 display has crapped out some, so I was hoping for a July release of the N6. Ahh well, I will live I'm sure.

A couple of my relatives have N4's that have been dying, so they're itching for the Note 6 or 7 (whatever it's called) to be released. I told them to try holding out until Mid-August, so hopefully their phones last that long.

I'm still wishing it were July, especially after seeing so many deals on unlocked Priv's, I feel like I'm getting ripped off paying monthly's on that phone.

They could always buy a gently used phone on Swappa to use for a couple of months and then sell it on Swappa when the Note Whatever comes out :)

Yup. Had mentioned that to them, but they aren't the types that do temporary fixes, especially with phones. I think I'm the only one in my family that would actually do that....LOL...which is why majority of them come to me, when they're looking to upgrade or troubleshoot whatever the heck they did to mess their phones up.

Seems like everything is lining up to what Evan Blass had indicated. August 2 event w/ August 15 (or around that time, depending on the carriers) release. June seems to be flying by faster than I thought it would for me, so I can't wait until official release day (somewhat crossing my fingers that the unpacked event ends up also being release week). If everything pans out, with the rumored specs (most importantly, 256gb internal and microSD slot), then I'm also hoping for T-Mobile to have a similar deal to what they had with the S7/S7 Edge release...BOGO Free would mean 2 Note 7's for me.

Maybe the thread title should be renamed "Hitting FLOORs in Mid-August". If they keep dropping the specs, they might as well rename it to the Note 4 again just to be honest and mitigate lawsuits from false advertising.

Coming to Verizon, your Note 7 with Note 5 internals.
