i used jedi elite kitkat 1.1 for over 2 years, started getting factory mode error and found that was due to corrupted efs, i manage to fix that but i got a taste of lollipop and i don't want to go back to kitkat.
i've flashed to 5.0 using odin and re-rooted, but now i have problems. well one problem really, the lock screen security is all ballsed up. I prefer using pin security, but when i set it it does not take effect. I initially was running alliance rom lollipop v2 and assumed this was a problem with the rom itself, but the problem persists even in the stock rom before and after rooting. Once, on stock 5.0, i set pin security, then went to disable it in the menu and it asked me for the pin before making changes, and it said the pin was wrong although i know it wasn't (it was just 0000), but after rebooting it was set back to swipe as it always does. i'm using pattern lock for now with not problems.
Was i supposed to flash back to 4.4.2 and update with ota to 5 and THEN flash? I can't find any other instance of someone having this issue with pin security, but it seems like i may just be googling the wrong phrases.
