Help hmm.. updated to 2.1 but now can't download anything...problem with the market or my phone?

Hi a couple of days ago I upgraded my phone to 2.1 and I love the little improvements. However, one thing that does seem to be a problem is downloading from the market.

Basically I've been trying to download three app updates for the past two days and it can't do it. It also won't let me cancel them. I think there's a glitch somewhere which has made these things go wrong. When I go to the download area in the market there are three bars, one for each o these apps, with the word "installing" beneath. However, they are not installing anything as they have been like this for days now, and I can't even cancel them.

And if I try and and download anything else, eg Retro camera, or the kindle app for android, the same thing happens - Basically it always LOOKS like it's downloading as I get the little arrow in the notifications window to indicate the download, but then it just... disappears! Sometimes it gets to 100% before disappearing into the ether. There is no indication to show that it has downloaded successfully or unsuccessfully, no message, nothing! It's almost like it didn't happen.

But often in the market downloads window it says the app is "installing", but the download bar is blank. So I have to cancel and start again, to no avail.

Has anyone else had this happen and how did you sort it?

Eventually got the downloads working by deleting one of the apps (it was the update I was trying to install) which seemed to sort it for the others.

But today another problem, the phone won't sync to my emails! Sigh. It doesn't even tell me that there is a problem, it's just that nothing happens, at all. It was fine yesterday, but today, no little round sync symbol appears, no new emails, nothing, nada, zilch.

I've tried turning the phone off and on again and removing the battery, turning wifi and 3g etc on and off again, clicked refresh dozens of times, but nothing seems to get the bugger to start syncing.

I have no idea what to do now. Should I just reinstall the upgrade and start over again?

Hi, You seem to have a few problems with the 2.1 update!

I sometimes get problems with downloading or updating from the market. This usually occurs when I download/update more than one app at a time. The phone goes nuts and I have to reboot it. But if I only download/update one app at a time its ok.

Me thinks the pulse has had its day thats why support for it does not exist, I will have to retire my one soon......I am looking ZTE blade as a replacement.
