I'm not sure if you know or not, but the key for x64 and 32 bit are the same. You can download the iso image from MS and reinstall(or upgrade) with the same product key and have x64.
expensive doesnt always mean its better.
yeah i know, i have a bunch of programs that are strictly 32 bit. so if i upgraded there is a chance that they wont work.
but when i do my annual HDD wipe im just gonna reinstall everything from scratch but 64 bit this time

uh okay ill build a $1600 pc you build a $600 pc, we will run benchmarks and post results. think mine was around 1600 anyway, so just need your benchmarks
