Root Home and Search Button Fault?

Yes its7 now. But I meant 6 apps +5days +5days = 8 apps.

Anyway if the fault returned, what happens if you uninstall that last app?
 
.. I will check later today... Also, I would just like to add, it went away, then came back again.
 
.. Ok, I un-installed the last app (Full Screen Caller ID), and it has not returned for almost 2 days... Shall we leave it a little longer, or continue where we left off?
 
I think leave the application uninstalled for 5 days in total, then if it hasnt come back, re-install that application again
 
5 Day Test: On Stock ROM (With 5 Applications Installed)

Day 1:

Day 2:

.. Both the home button and search button are working fine.

Day 3:

.. Both the home button and search button are working fine.

Day 4:

.. Both the home button and search button are working fine.

.. Both the home button and search button are working fine.

I guess so. It certainly seems indicative that that particular application is causing the fault. I would suggest you can now do whatever you want with the phone. Its been a long slog, but worth it in the end.
 
.. Definitely... I don't even think I would of been able to get it fixed if it was a hardware issue. I do still have a little feeling that the issue will return despite avoiding that one app... JUST IN CASE it does, I will get back to u.. If that's ok with u? Also thanku for all your help. I truly appreciate it.
 
Yeah sure and no problem.

Just promise me one thing please, if the issue does return, please update this thread so we can keep track of the issue.

.. Don't worry, I've gotten that into my head now, I'll keep all my enquirers in this thread. There's one more thing I've been meaning to ask u... When u say I can now do whatever I want.. Does that include rooting?
 
.. Sorry, I know this is off topic again, but I just thought it'd be easier to keep all the phone issues in one thread. The button issue has COMPLETELY vanished. But for some reason, the phones been pretty slow lately, lagging and crashing, etc. I downloaded a task manager, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I recently ran out of space, and am waiting to partition my SD card... Could it just be due to the low memory?
