Help Home button lag?

Whenever I press the home button to switch to the home screen, there is a delay of maybe 1 second before the app minimizes and goes to the home screen. Is this normal? Shouldn't it be instant as it is on the s3? Honestly the whole phone seems very laggy. Opening apps to scrolling Web pages. Anyone else seeing this? I want to keep the phone I'm just hoping the lag may get patched out.

I do not have such lag, mine is instant.

My only lag or problem happens every 30-40 unlocks may be, using fingerprint scanner that the screen is ON but u swipe and nothing happens. Then I press the power button screen goes off, than back on again and fingerprint swap starts working. Even 1 time it happened that I had to switch the screen on and off 2-3-4 times until it works.

This is a known issue, basically S voice activation defaults to a double tap of the home button. So if you hit the home button once, it waits to see if you hit it again to launch S Voice.

The solution is to open S Voice, either by double press or launching the app. Go into settings, and disable the double press to launch option. I don't know the exact location of the setting, but it should be easy to find. Your home button should now be much more responsive.
