Help "Home" button problems

So, I'm having this issue with my Atrix's "home" button and I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. It's happened twice now where, when I press "home", I get the haptic feedback and the screen jerks, but ultimately stays in the original screen and won't go back to the home screen. When this happens, if I'm in an app, I'll have to back all the way out and can't just close it using the "home" button. Usually a reboot will solve it, but I don't want to have to keep rebooting my phone whenever this occurs.

So, has anyone else encountered this and, if so, were you able to fix it? Is this normal with android phones? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

HEY! i just posted a new thread about the same problem! I didnt see yours all the way down here! Maybe the threads can be merged?

I see you dont have any solutions posted yet which is sad. Moreover, rebooting the phone for me doesnt work either.

It's like it stutters cycles throught to home and slide unlock and plops me right back to where I was. If I manually press return return return, it does settle at home. This is a total and complete nuisance though. It just started hapening to me when i unpluggend my atrix from the charger this morning.

Well, been fiddling, and i have concluded that after i turned the finger print recognition off, i am back to normal. If you have yours on, try deactivating it. I suppose same with pass key or or swpe key.

Thanks for the tip! I ended up just returning it because I kept having to reboot it. Hopefully this one doesn't do the same thing, but if so, I'll try to undo the fingerprint scanner.

So, this started again on my new phone. I'm thinking it might be because of PowerAmp as the few times I've noticed it happening, I've been listening to music. Anyone else with PowerAmp experience this?
