Help Home has stopped

When I press the Apps button on my lucid a screen pops up saying "Unfortunately, Home has stopped." Then the home screens are blank for 30 seconds or so before coming back. I can't open any apps unless I put the shortcut on a home screen and can't access anything on the apps screen. I don't want to lose any data and I'm out of the country for the rest of the month and there are no Verizon stores here. Help??

I'm assuming you've pulled the battery and that didn't help?

Can you try clearing cache? If you don't know how, an app like this could help: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.menue.cacheclear&hl=en

Also, try booting into safemode (google for how) to see if theres maybe an app causing it. If so, start uninstalling apps till the problem goes away, starting with apps that were most recently updated/downloaded

You may have to clear the data/cache for the launcher.
Navigate to your "apps" settings(menu>settings>apps). Select the all tab at the top. Find 'home' and clear the data for it.

If possible I'd recommend installing a new launcher compleatly just to see if it works. I'd recommend apex launcher personally.
