Home Key Problem/Question

Has anyone had problems with their home key not wanting to work to exit out of a game? I seem to be having this glitch only when I am playing games. Most times, I have to restart
my phone to fix the problem. What gives?

We need to know the make model and year of the phone first. And what version of Android? What games?

I think some game developers disable the home key so if you are hot an heavy into the action and you accidentally press it, it doesn't kill your game. They most likely have an alternate way of exiting.

I don't think I like the possibility of a game producer circumventing my home button if I want to exit a game.
