Help home screen glitch

Hi, so as I go to turn the screen on, half the stuff on my home screen is gone. And I mean from the bottom up, so the phone, app, and + button + my widgets went blank. They still work because if I press where the phone button is supposed to be, it works. Its just that its not visible.

Any idea?

Does it go black in that area as if the screen is off? I'd say the display is going bad. If you can still see the background behind where the buttons should be, then sense is crashing

does sense crash often? i thought the evo was pretty stable
and some reason i feel like the phone is much much slower then before, and I just started playing with it yesterday!

oh, and some reason when it is plugged in to the computer, the "connect to PC" thing keeps popping up - asking me for charge only, dync, disk, etc)

It shouldn't crash at all. Have you installed something recently? Try uninstalling that, or maybe try a hard reset.

it just happened again, except one of my entire home screens went away, came back after i restored my scene...

and as for the pick connection type screen popping up, it seems the problem is the app "task manager," others are having the same issue

stop using the task killer!!!!

That's probably what's causing sense to crash (or shut down) also!

What program do most people use for this type of stuff then? The programs are draining my batteries like crazy.

Most people don't use any program. Those apps are not draining your battery! That's a Windows mindset. That's not how Android works!

Yeah, I just switched to android. But when I goto battery usage, it says 84% of it is from Maps, and I do see that it is always open when I look at task manager.

Go to Maps and hit the back button to exit. Don't use the home button to exit. That should close the app properly.

most programs jsut keep going to their respective main menus when i hit back so i have to click menu button to get out of the program...
