Help Home Screen Issue

When I am in the menu of the phone and if I click on the search button I get this message

"the application home screen (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"

and home screen crashes. What should I do?

I have tried resetting it to the factory setting but after 2 or 3 hours, same thing happened.

I had the same problem. Mine was an issue with another launcher I was running. For some reason ADW did not play well with my phone. I switched to go launcher and have not had a problem.

Uninstall the google search update from the market or your manage apps menu. It will fix it...

Finally I have downgraded my phone and rooted it too
I hope now the issue will be solved

after downgrading and uninstalling the google search update it fixed it.
