Help Home Screen Issues - any ideas

When I first got the G2, pressing the home button (at the bottom, looks like a house) would send me back to the middle (#4) of the 7 pages that are all 'home screens' or whatever their called.

I accidental tapped the home button twice.

Now when I hit the home button it takes me to a completly different and new page. This one has the weather, shortcuts at the bottom that you can scroll through, and an X at the top. BUT, it is not one of my seven pages. When I hit back, it just goes to the page I was on (say page 7) and to get to home (or page 4) I have to swipe....

How can I turn this around and make home take me home (page4)....

Hit the menu key (the first icon at the bottom that looks like a list,next to home)

Edit (It should bring up thumbnails of all your screens)

Hit the menu key again (from step 1)

Set as Home should appear at the bottom, go ahead and select that

Touch the thumbnail of the screen you want as home, it should be highlighted once you do

Hit done at the bottom.

Voila!

I have this same page coming up and it just started. For the life of me I can not figure it out. I tried to do a complete wipe and it still happens. I am trying the fix below and hope it works.
 
I have the exact same thing happening too! Seems to happen after using my E4GT in a car on a car charger. This new home screen persists even after disconnecting from my car charger. Only way to turn it off i've found is to power the phone off and back on.

By the way I using Go Launcher Ex.

This works, exactly what I needed. For some reason it would not take hold until I rebooted.

Also my speaker on phone comes on by default no matter what I do in settings.

Both problems started when my phone went crazy with a off brand charger.

Not sure if this is it, but take a look at Menu, Settings, Dock Settings. If Audio Output Mode is on, click it off.
