Home screen lag!!!!

Is anybody else having lagging issues on the S3? All of a sudden when I unlock my screen and swipe right there is a lag between screens and it's very annoying. I didn't have this problem a few months ago, but now it pretty much lags all the time. What the hell!!!
 
Before I rooted/flashed I noticed that would happen when using the back button out of an app, back to the home screen. Seems like it took a laggy second to show the homescreen and redraw all of the icons. What's odd is when I first got the phone, I don't remember those issues. Maybe I overloaded it with apps over a few weeks.

I'm running CM10 now and it's fast as ever, buttery-smooth. None of the lag I had on stock Samsung ROM.
 
What really makes it so annoying is the fact that this phone has 2gigs of ram! There should be no lag. I've never rooted my phone so I dont know how CM10 runs. I always feel like I'm gonna mess up something in my phone if I root it.

I've had some lag moments on my phone as well but I might root soon. touchwiz is getting boring. lol
 
I noticed the home screens lag once I installed all my apps and 2 widgets I have. The best solution I found is using another launcher instead of touch wiz. It is sad that it lags with 2 gigs of ram. Im sure jelly bean will fix this or at least make it better. I will also eventually root mine and flash a custom rom. In the mean time I use go launcher. Apex and Nova also work fine and get ride of the lag.
 
This may help your "lag" issue. Settings>Developer options>Window animation scale & Transition animation scale: set both to 0.5x. Changing these on my GS3 made a big difference.
 
No matter what I do, whenever I go back to the homescreen and swipe in either direction there is a lag there. It used to be smooth, and now it's not ever! Just very annoying at this point. I cant swipe through my homescreens without lag at all. I've tried everything that was mantioned.
