Help Home screen number 1 or number 4?

Cycokilla

Lurker
In the tips & tricks thread someone said when they press the home button it goes to page 4 while another person said when they do it, it goes to page 1.

I've only had my phone for less than a week & it was in the page 4 home page camp. I have since had a play around & reduced the number of home screens down to 2. Now my home button goes to page 2.

Now for the OCD part.
Does anyone know how I can set the home button to go to page 1?
I know it doesn't seem like a big deal since I now only have 2 pages anyway but it just bugs me that a button that takes you "home" goes to page 2 rather than page 1.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

That was me who posted that originally. I think this is an undocumented feature since if you hold it longer it goes to the recent/Task manager screen. Normally there is press, hold & Double press action but press & Hold "for not as long" is hard to control. I think it's a bit of stray programming like Control+KeypadPlus in windows explorer which I have used for many years, not documented.

I dont hold the button at all. It's just a single press & it then goes to page 2 (used to go to page 4). Press & hold goes to task manager, double press goes to voice talk as usual. What does a single press do on yours?

It goes to whatever screen I was on last. I have 7. If hold it slightly as opposed to pressing it it goes back home to last screen then scrolls to page 4 (The middle page).

Ah, OK, I see what you're saying.
I'm talking more about if I'm on the home screen page 1 & I hit the button it goes to page 2.
Try going to page 7 on yours & just single click the button. I'm thinking it will take you to page 4.
I just want it to goto page 1. LOL
It's no big deal, I was just wondering if it is programmable.
Seems odd. I can add more pages to the home screen &, where it used to go to page 4 all the time, now it seems like 2 is the place it wants to default to. Obviously it forgot about 4 after I got rid of it.
