Home screens

[angelus97]

Hi,

I'm planning on moving from iOS to Android and have a question (sorry if it's dumb).

I've read that the phone I want has 5 home screens. What exactly are home screens? Are home screens the same thing as iOS and just pages you can scroll through where all your apps sit? If there's only 5 does that limit the number of apps you can have?

Or are they just different front end screens where widgets can be added from which you can then access the main menu with all the apps.

Thanks

They are different front end screens.
You can have app icons, folders, widgets, or shortcuts.
There is also an app drawer to show all of your apps.

Android works differently.

In iOS, all of yours apps are shown in the "desktop". So if you have 2000 apps, it will create 4039503 scrollable screens.

Android shows all your apps in an "app drawer", plus you can create up to 7 scrollable screens (depending on the launcher) to organize your stuff the way you prefer, with widgets, etc.
