Root Homepage, settings and contacts gone?!

Hello everyone, I'm really hoping you can help me :)

So I took my phone out of my pocket earlier to find that it had for some reason gone off. I tried turning it on with the power button but no luck.
So I pulled out the battery, put it back in and then it was able to turn on, so I thought great, nothing is wrong.

But later, when I looked at my phone again I realised that the homescreen had been totally wiped and just reverted back to default, all my screen timeout etc settings have reverted back to default and all my contacts are gone! :afraid:

Weird thing is, all my apps are still there? I've tried clearing the dalvik cache, which didn't help.

My phone is rooted and I'm on the MildWild V-4.3 ROM.

Oh and my home button has stopped working too?

Any ehlp will be muchly appreciated!
Thanks, Ian :)

Do you have a recent nandroid back up you can restore?

If your contacts were google contacts they should just re-sync but you'll have to start again with the home screen if you have no back up.

That's really not the answer I want :( hahah

The back up was from when I first installed the ROM I think.

Any ideas about getting the physical home button to work again?

Thanks

try clearing data on your launcher, or reflash the rom over the top of itself without a wipe. I don't think you can corrupt your data as it sounds lke it's reverted to default anyway as you have mentioned.

So I set up all my homescreens again, restarted my phone, and they all reverted back to default :/

Flashed a new ROM on top and everything appears to be working now! :D
Even the home button which I was completely lost without! haha

Thanks for the suggestion!

PLEASE do a nandroid backup now, whist you have rom set up as you like it. ;)
