Help homepage

i know i can set the homepage to my choice, but can i change the default homepage?
my phone is not rooted.

Do you mean change the look of your launcher from looking like the first image to something like the second image?

If so, you can choose something like Go Launcher (amongst others) from Google Play - it is worth noting that the Sense widgets may not work if you change launchers (but you should be able ti find replacements for them on Google Play anyway)

sorry, i didnt expalin that very well, i meant the browser homepage.

i can set it to google but in the settings the default browser is "searchmobileonline.com" and i cant find how to change it.

Should just be in settings > set home page and then choose use current, default or change to a custom one.

What happens when you try to change it?

i just wondered if i could change the default? if i click it, it sets the homepage to the default browser "searchmobileonline.com"

do you know if that is the default browser that is installed?
its an unbranded phone.

ok problem solved. after a search on google it seems this "searchmobileonline.com" is malware/spyware and came in via an app somewhere.

after going into settings, applications, all, internet and deleting all cache and clear data, then restart, its gone back to HTC.COM as the default.

this has made me think about virus protection, would that help?
