Just about to call it a night, when I obsessively checked for system updates. Lo and behold, 6.16 just cued up! Waiting...

I will take a screenshot to PROVE it shortly...(assuming it doesn't mess up root, which it prolly will)

Coolness! And my Voodoo Rootkeeper seems to have worked as well. Haven't spent much time with it but so far love the crisp new feel. Even just the haptic feedback is so much improved.

Houston, TX. I got it because I just wanted it *so* *so* badly and I broadcast that to the Universe, which rewarded me with my wish. :adore:


Seriously though, Voodoo Rootkeeper didn't quite seem to do the trick. When I did Wifi tether it said started with errors.

That doesn't tell you that you don't have root, just that the wifi tether isn't working. There are several Root Checking Apps on the market (err Google Play Store). Use one of those to see if you have root. If not, you can reroot using matt's utility (although if you just want wifi tether, you can use FoxFi without root).
