Hi guys

I'm new to this forum area and a general Tasker newbie (only installed earlier today), so go easy on me and thanks in advance for all your help and assistance ;)

I'm trying to create a Profile that contains approx. 7 states, which each relate to a different SSID that I connect to and to switch off Mobile Data whilst connected

I've been able to create the profile with 3 states, relating to 3 of my 7 known SSID's, but I'm unable to create any more 'States' to detail each one of my other known SSID's, when the 'Add' menu pops up, I only have Application, Day, Event & Location options available

Any help and assistance would be gratefully received

You should be able to make a single Wifi Connected State context and put a slash-separated list of the desired SSIDs.

Mine looks like "WifiAP1/WifiAP2/WifiAP3"

One of the hidden features is that for at least some of the dropdowns you can select multiple times. Each will be added to the string with the slash separating them.

Brilliant :congrats::congrats:

I thought there must be a way of delimiting different SSID's, but couldn't see what that may be

Right, I'm off now to do the necessary

Thanks for your help

Just a quick update, changes applied and it's all working as required

The other issue I had with my previous attempt at listing each SSID as a separate State was that it didn't recognise that I was connected to my main SSID, I'm guessing because it tried to 'link' the State connections as AND's, so therefore it in order to turn off Mobile Data I would have needed to be connected to multiple SSID's at the same time (an impossibility)

When I originally thought about creating a 'Turn Off Mobile Data' profile I created separate profiles with states for each SSID independently, which worked, but when I tried to combine them together it stopped working and I came up with my issues

Thanks once again

Time to think of a lot more complex, weird and wonderful things to do with Tasker and start building up my knowledge lol
