Help Horizontal line across screen?

I turned off the tablet last night and when I turned it on this morning. It has a horizontal line (different colors) across the screen all of the time. When the os is loaded, the line is black. Has anyone experienced this? Is their a fix or do I need to call Asus? Thanks​

I've seen various references to this problem around, to my knowledge no real fix has been found, short of RMA-ing it to Asus.

Some have reported that disabling the auto brightness in settings has solved the problem, though that seems to be the minority.
