Root Horrendous lag

Thatdad

So it will take some some time to get my new phone, so I have to make this phone last a month at least.

So there is horrible lag. 4 times it crashed yesterday and almost all day it has lagged badly.

Other errors as well. (a picture or 2 will be added)

One problem is Play Store. When ever I press an app to look at it will highlight but won't access it.

Another problem are various apps esp Facebook chatheads. It will creep across my screen extremely slowly. Other apps will take at least 1 minute to load up if it doesn't restart itself. Also SwiftKey types very very slowly.

If I do not use headphones during a phone call I can't even hear the person I'm speaking to. It's just to quiet to hear. This was not the case a month ago. There is also crackling during calls, and it randomly switches to speaker phone on its own.

If I take a screen shots sometimes the 'miniature screen' screen shot display will get stuck on the screen.
After that I normally lock the screen and try to unlock, which will sometimes freeze and or restart my phone.

Would that app I screen shot work to reduce this lag?

ive been expiercing a LOT of lag especially yesterday my apps were fc's and my phone randomly rebooted at least 4 times as soon as i get money im upgrading to either the f3 or l9

are you running stock or custom rom?
I used to get a lot of lag on, his phone, but not anymore, i have it streamlined down pretty lean and mean. Also from stock to now my PSX emulation framerates went up a ton, making me a very happy boy.
first step is to get stock 77 or darkside/dusk+.
Then with ES task manager I disabled every startup app thats not critically necessary. I froze system services that I rarely use, like bluetooth. Then I installed greenify and set every damned app on the thing to hibernate when not in use (except gmail and utorrent) I went with nova launcher and disabled pretty much all animations and effects. This premia is smoking fast now, at least for a budget phone.
Dont go for the l9 or f3 thinking its an upgrade over this baby. They arent any better in the specs department, and while lg has nice sturdy hardware design, my wife has an f3 and gets lag on it regularly, and my Premia is frequently outperforming it. The lower end Optimus phones are almost identical to this one except that they are gsm, and cost a little more for the LG branding. There is however mucj more dev suport for customizing them, which is something to consider.

Unfortunately that seems about normal, especially after the battery has seen some cycles. I have only noticed greenify shave a tiny bit off my battery life, but im a nazi about eliminating everything that sucks the juice. I have noticed more free ram and better performance in games since those suckers dont activate themselves to call home or just chill with their homies when im in the middle of playing Ocarina of Time or Front Mission. Ill be getting the extended battery soon and seeing what that does for me. Lack of Open GL 3 support and battery life are really my only gripes with this phone other than not having CM. As far as lagginess in the UI ive found some of the various I/O tweaks in xtheme modules and rom toolbox to speed up the feel of system apps.
Also check out underclocking your cpu when you are just doing basic things, it can extend the battery nicely as well, though its only a small difference for me. Cpu tuner has a learning curve but is fantastic once you it all up and dont screw up your init.d so it can dynamically manage the cpu right from startup.

Use smart launcher for one.
nova and all that other crap is really just eye candy. smart launcher and dc icons.
The custom Rom you choose is important dusk I never tried I had to stop at darkside I experienced a wealth of problems mainly force closes, random reboots, and disappearing apps.
use short-stock and customize it with init d support, v6 super charger and true a2sd zipalign and deodex.
I have no problems wether I'm watching Netflix or playing raven sword or wild blood, mass effect, dead space, nova etc... es task manager with root will prevent a lot of garbage from auto loading at boot. Use titanium backup to freeze apps and if you know what your doing you can uninstall almost any thing you don't want taking up memory. And seriously battery apps won't do any better than we task manager with the correct apps set to auto kill with widget.
Use swype with Dragon get rid of swift key key logging bullcrap. Seriously it calls home as you use it, and you can't prevent it. There is a ton more. Maybe I'll make a guide since it seems I'm forced to have free time on my hands.

Also there is an app called force close that detects all problem apps. Truth is not all apps are designed for mirrored storage so knowing that this phone has a built in app mover that is nothing more than SIM links will cause problems and you have to find them no one else will. You can go to dev options and check anr notify that way you can figure out what is the conflict or at least try to.

Yes please. Im fairly uneducated about android and learning as I go, but i would far prefer to adjust things manually that dont absolutely have to rely on apps.and scripts loading. With the right tweaks, this phone can essentially be an s3 with less ram (but then it needs less).

If I make a guide it will go here for sure lol and to be clear zipaligning and vacuuming only applies to roms that use v6 supercharger

On a side note a lot off mainstream apps have no name replacements take Facebook for example one good Facebook replacement app is atrium. It works so much faster and cleaner. The gallery sucks to , f stop or Picasa or quick pic are decent replacements also the dialer, messenger, contacts are all replaceable rocket dial and rocket contacts are good but boneface provided links to newer versions which are jellybean and are so similar to rocket dial and contacts.

I did. :/

I greenified most of my apps and used clean master about 4 hours ago. So far my battery went from 93% to 71% 3 hours and 55 minutes ago. I guess that's good battery life right?

..youre really gonna have to go with a custom rom instead of stock if you want the best performance out of your device. the difference is night and day.
i swear by this on my life.DO NOT USE TASK KILLER APPS or any "battery extending" apps.. just clear your cache once a day..
if youre using stock rom and custom recovery, you should just wipe and reset data, which will also clear your dalvic and regualr cache. you should do this at least once a month.
i honestly dont have any lag, data loss, speed issues etc and im not using any scripts, task killers or what have you.

I think ill just take Bonefaces word on anything now. I love smart launcher. Its fast, makes a little more ram available, and ive got it set up the way I always wished I could get other launchers to do: no dock, widgets or shortcuts, just one screen that makes it easy to get at everything quickly.
.......
On the battery life issue- I spend a lot of time in an area eith spotty 4g coverage, itd just enough to try and connect, holds for a few seconds then dumps back to 2g. This constant connecting and switching modems drains my battery like crazy, even when not aftually consuming much data. Turning off mobile data when im there and relying on wifi and voip apps for texting can literally triple.my battery life, something to look.at depending on what coverage is like for you. I wish I could just disable 4g like I could with CM10.
In areas with.decent 4g service my battery life is far better, somewhere between the two.

CM just became a business, with 7 million dollars of funding, and theyre working on making it easier for ALL phones to have cm...so we'll see
