Help Hot charger!!!

So I plugged my Prime charger in my dual usb car charger while my Evo 3d was charging. I noticed the Prime wasn't charging or didn't seem to be. Never noticed my Prime charger being hot but can't really say I checked before. Well I noticed while charging at home now the charger is flaming hot. Prime is working and charging but the heat coming from the part that plugs into the wall has me concerned. Can anyone else confirm if their charger is hot too? Also do we need a different charger to charge in the this in the car?

The Transformer tablets uses a USB 3.0 cable. Possible the car charger may need to be USB 3.0(more pins) as well
 
USB 3.0 has a total of nine pins. USB 2.0 has four flat contacts along the plastic part of the plug. USB 3.0 has these plus an additional five pins deeper inside the plug.

one night my charger got real hot. tablet was fully charged and i left left it plugged in for a while. i only noticed the charger hot after the tablet and dock were fully charged and had been left in.
 
the prime uses a proprietary usb 2.0 connector that allows for a 10 watt power draw. the evo 3d can pull about 3 watts during charge. your car adapter probably cant power both.
