Help Hot Key Lights (off in the dark?)

When watching a movie is it possible to make the hot key lights dim or turn off?
I understand they light up in dark conditions, for access I guess, but I dont need them burning my retina as I settle to watch Cloverfield.

I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully someone will chime in with an answer!

I was actually wondering if there was a way to keep to lights on whenever you have it unlocked... sometimes, its too dark to see the but they don't light up :/
