Hot Spot Widget

I currently have an Lg Optimus S and I found this Hot Spot Widget while searching on you tube. Its a free download on the Market.

My question is, if I turn this on and use it to connect my laptop to internet will there be charges from Sprint?
Does anyone use this?

THe purpose of the wifi hotspot (introduced in froyo I think) is to share our your phones mobile data signal as a wifi hotspot.

So basically you would be using your mobile data allowance for your laptops surfing.

with sprint its an unlimited data plan, so would it fall under the hotspot charge, or not I guess is my question.

if you use the actual hotspot app on a sprint phone, it wont work without activating it ( i havent tried) and paying the $30 charge. there are ways to use WiFi tether without using their proprietary hotspot app

so using this hotspot widget should be free of the $30 monthly charge...
