I'm having issues setting up a hotmail account to receive HTML messages using the stock email app (I prefer not to use a third-party app, if possible). If I set up the account using the "other" email setting, I can set up the account using the Exchange Server option and I have access to all of my hotmail folders. I can delete messages from the server or move them into my other folders. However, my problem is that my email won't download in HTML format using that account setup method. All my emails download in plain text format, and I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the message and click on the "load more details" button before it will then download in HTML format. Using this method, there is no option for setting the message receipt as HTML in the account settings.
If I use the "windows live" option to set up the hotmail account, the messages download in HTML format (and there is an option in settings to choose HTML or plain text), but I don't have access to any of my other hotmail folders, so I can't move the messages to folders I set up in my hotmail account (seems odd to me that they would have a "windows live" option to set up hotmail, but no access to hotmail folders). However, when using the "windows live" account setup option, I started having issues with the sync not retrieving my email until sometimes days later (even though they appeared in my hotmail account when viewing on a PC).
Is there a way to set up the hotmail account so that I have access to all my hotmail folders, while also automatically downloading the emails in HTML format?
