Help Hotmail - Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync HELP!!

Hey, hope some one here can help as its driving me up the wall.
I have gone from the HTC HD2 which was great for my mail as I use hotmail.

I now have Desire HD but hotmail seems to be a big problem for it.
First problem I had was I could not get hotmail setup using Microsoft Exchange, after the recent update I can now get it to conncect So I can now view all my folders which is what I needed as I have used hotmail for 10 years and have all my mail set into folders. Problem I now have is I can see my folders but cant open any of my mail using HTML. It all wants to open in plain text

Why cant this great device seem to do somthing as simple as push mail form my hotmail, show my folders and open my mail in html so I can view them in full??

anybody else got this problem and have this sorted?

Thanks Nathan

Nathan we share same problem. But you are better off since you can even view your folders. Pls kindly post me the set up for exchange to work on this device.

if you have a gmail account, you can import all ur hotmail emails there and also can send receive emails using gmail, after u successfully import ur hotmail emails into gmail which tags into separate labels, you can then easily see them in full in stock gmail app on android phone

Please how do you do that? Step by step.

The protocol in HTC Mail app does not support HTML because microsoft uses an old standard. I can't remember where I read it from...

If you download touchdown you can get it fully working.

We just have to wait for a fix. At the moment for hotmail I just use the web email and don't use the HTC Mail App as it is buggy and it keeps refreshing for me. I don't have a clue why it keeps refreshing...

Why don't you use the POP3 function in the Mail app?
It works very well, the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't update the 'online' inbox, so every email I read on my HD is unread in the online inbox.

I have a gmail account and tried porting all of my hotmail and folders accross and it did do it, BUT... yes there is a but. it would then not show any of the images within the emails which drives me nuts, I just want a simple option. To spend this much on a phone and have to make do or try make somthing work with work arounds is not right. they need to pull there finger out and sort it.....
