Help Hotmail notification

hi people,

i was wondering how to get a notification on your SGS when you receive an email in your hotmail account. it does give a signal and a notification in the status bar when i receive email of my gmail account but not with hotmail.
i checked synchronisation -> add new account and saw something like microsoft exchange activesync.
first page asks me for an email account and password. i fill in my hotmail email and password.
next pages says. domain: username, password and exhange server.

on the domain its the part in front of the @ of my hotmail email
password is filled in
exchange-server is hotmail.com

then it says that instalation can't be completed because it can't connect with the server.

am i doing it the right way or you need to make some kind of microsoft exchange account?

if there is such a threat then i'm sorry but could you give me the link then ?

Here are the settings for Hotmail:
Open the Mail client (no gmail).
Type in your Hotmail full email, and your password, Click on Manual setup
Select Exchange account
For the domain: \full email address for example "\myname@hotmail.com"
Password: your password
Exchange Server: m.hotmail.com
check both Use secure connection (SSL) and Accept all SSL certificates.
Click Next and follow the on screen prompts.

yeah. i managed to get my hotmail in the email app. i immediatly got a notification that i had 2 new emails.
now i have sent a test email to myself and will look how long it takes till i get a notification.
